Scuba diving is riskier than a sport like hockey or baseball, but not dangerous sport like mountain climbing. Modern scuba diving is easy to practice, very reliable and you will safe with the proper training and a responsible. It is a risky sport that you have to know what you are doing and be careful while you are doing it. You have to understand the equipment and be able to handle dangerous situation if they come up. In fact, many injuries and casualties are the result of recklessness or bad judgment in almost all scuba diving.
You must have the proper certification training to become a scuba diver with avoiding risks. So you need to take some hours of training from a professional instructor. Particularly you may face health problems in form of barotraumas, and another by changes in pressure. Other possible risks are associated with higher absorption of gases, while other risks are more mechanical and environmental in nature. So you have to know how to enjoy the sport in the safest way possible so that you are able to enjoy this scuba diving. Some scuba divers suffer from headache that is caused by a quick movement. Pain caused by bubbles of gas that are trapped in the teeth in some fillings or caps. Some people get rare bone lesions produced by long-term exposure to the high pressure in the environment. Even some divers also get a lung expansion injury. You may face some problems when you holding the breath while ascending into the water. There are some common injuries that are associated with scuba diving with touching poisonous animals like jellyfish, fire coral, or stingrays. Dehydration is another mistake often made by divers. That is why you should drink lot of drinking water and fluids before you start to scuba dive. This will help to hydrate the body and leave less room for complications. Hypothermia is the loss of body heat and early symptoms include fatigue and loss of judgment. |
